GOALS |
(Goals are qualitative intentions)
- To plan and organise the Association so that a
business like and efficient voluntary “corporate” structure is put
into place, to enable the implementation of the following goals.
- To increase and broaden membership of the
Australian Piedmontese Cattle Association to allow sustainable
development of its resources and plans.
- To initiate a group Breedplan to enable
measurement of the Piedmontese value characteristics and traits by
growers / breeders, who have the stock numbers to warrant it.
- To assess the genetic quality of Piedmontese
registered with the Association and establish policy to support
the introduction of only top quality bloodlines that can produce
the best characteristics and qualities in the Australian herd.
- To encourage and obtain quality research and
testing data to support breed claims and the development of the
Piedmontese as a serious choice for prospective breeders.
- To develop relationships and memberships with
organisations, which enhance and facilitate the growth of the
breed and the Association.
- To create ‘interest in’ and acceptance of the
Piedmontese as the leading terminal sire for crossbred beef with
large pastoral and beef production organizations.
- To create top of mind awareness with beef
growers of the Piedmontese as the leading sire for more profitable
and healthier beef, so they will become “involved”.
- To develop a marketing plan to promote the
“healthy beef” concept to:
- Consumers
- Growers
- Media
- Health Organisations & the medical fraternity
- Processors, Butchers and Retailers
- Restaurateurs, (Italian in particular); and

- To establish a website, as part of the
marketing plan to facilitate growth of the Association and it’s
goals.
- To define, develop and implement Association
policy that will strengthen and enhance the “corporate” body and
the light in which it is seen by members, the interested public,
the cattle industry broadly, statutory organisations and
stakeholders generally.
- For the Piedmontese to become the dominant
crossbred sire in Australia.
